One of my biggest regrets is the name I gave this blog! It seemed like such a good idea at the time. Instead, it’s a mouthful. Anyway, here’s why I did it:
There is unlimited potential and possibility when it comes to the power of creation. The stories that we read, write, and share can change the world, but only if we let them. Are you brave enough to let go and see where your imagination can take you?
I am a writer. It’s my long-term goal to be a traditionally published author of both children and adult books. After six years of writing across different age categories and genres, I finally stopped spreading myself too thin. In 2022, I decided to focus solely on middle grade for one year and see what happens.
Update: My middle grade focus in 2022 resulted in a manuscript entitled, Bird on a Wire. It won the 2023 Tassy Walden Award for New Voices in Children’s Literature. I’m now actively querying that manuscript. Fingers crossed!!
